Nappy Pappy and Momma Whoop
The Names
Dot and I muse sometimes why our family (boys and their friends) dubbed us the "Nappy Pappy" and "Momma Whoop"....not much, just some.

I think the "Nappy" came from my propensity passing into slumber mode in just about any situation. It could be because of my always manicured beard....hmmm.
Dot, I think, was just unfortunate enough to be a mother of party people during the 90's, when "
Whoop, There it is!!!
" was a pop phrase from a song....and she needed a name.
In any case, our real names are Dot and Bob VanEe and we wear our alternate appellations with pride.

The license plate frame on my Mustang is a bit over the top, but it, too, was a gift from the young ones.
The place is Sodus Point, N.Y., currently a popular summer respite with a 1:1 ratio of boats and bar/restaurants.

Our house is in the upper left corner of the photo on this page. We've had a great time raising the boys here and continue to have many fine times, now that they're up and out
